Parenting News: Suri Cruise in the News
Posted on Monday, April 12, 2010 @ 03:06 PM by cradlesong

Feeding
Suri Cruise is often in the news being labelled as precocious, wearing heels, carrying handbags and looking too serious. However, this week she was in the news being criticised for drinking from a baby bottle just a few weeks before her fourth birthday. Personally I think that she is a little old to still be drinking from a baby's bottle, but would be interested to hear other people's thoughts and experiences. I do also think it's not so unusual for a child of her age to still have a bottle at bedtime, especially when they are the oldest and have a younger sibling to copy, or when Mum and Dad just want a quiet evening. Having said that, the advice I was given was to completely remove the bottle from Sophie's routine by the age of 18 months and I think it is quite common to start the transition to a sippy cup at 9 months of even earlier. Sophie is currently 15 months and uses a sippy cup for water during the day and only has a bottle at night time, as I still breast feed her in the morning. Having said that, I'm considering moving her evening milk to a sippy cup as she doesn't use the bottle as a comfort and certainly doesn't relax while drinking it. Quite the opposite in fact, she has her last play for the day while drinking it. Like I said, am interested to her your views and experiences.
