Cradlesong Blog: Farmyard Frolics

Sophie visited a petting farm on Saturday, as I mentioned in my post about the Sydney Family Show. She was a little overwhelmed to start with, but she loved it. We got her some food for the animals and she proceeded to try and stick the carrot in all the animals' mouths whether they were hungry or not, including the little chick. That's when she wasn't trying to eat it herself! We attempted to teach her to be gentle, but I think it was difficult for her to really understand the difference between the real animals and her cuddly toys at home. She did well though and wasn't quite as confused as one other little girl there who started petting Sophie! Very funny! Anyway take a look at the video below showing some snippets of our time at the petting farm.
