Cradlesong Blog: Little Book Worm

Development
Sophie really loves her books at the moment and some of you may of already seen the video of her 'reading' here on Cradlesong. She just loves looking at books and often raids the bookshelf in her room, distributing books across her room until she gets to the one she wants. She loves everything from card, picture books to chapter books and I read to her every night before bed which relaxes her beautifully. We've also started going to the library regularly so she can experience even more books and stories.

The other day we went to a story time at the library called Possum's Play and it was fantastic. It's aimed at babies and toddlers so was perfect for Sophie and I thought it was really well done. It started with a story (which happened to be one of our favourites), then a story where they handed a copy of the book to each child and ended with lots of songs. Sophie enjoyed it and I thought that it was great too and it included plenty of educational content. They have Possum's Play once a fortnight and I'm certain we'll be going again.
