Sophie had her third swimming lesson of the term yesterday and I am so
proud of how well she is doing. She was comfortable and confident and
most important of all enjoyed herself. At the beginning of the class
she sat at the side of the swimming pool nicely and didn't cling to me
or try and climb onto my lap. Instead she sat and splashed with her
legs and hands, joining in with the welcome song. When she's in the
water she's starting to understand her buoyancy and lie in a swimming
position rather than upright. Yesterday she even let the instructor
hold her to demonstrate an exercise without too much resistance. All in
all, I am just so proud of how well she is doing and hope she goes from
strength to strength.
