Cradlesong Blog: Shower Time

Health
Poor little Sophie has had a cough and a cold. I took her to see the doctor on Friday to get checked out as she had been up in the night coughing lots. The doctor gave her chest, ears and throat the all clear and said a little time should do all the healing. To be honest, I thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure. The doctor did suggest that she had a warm shower before bed time as the steam would help to clear her nose, as she's not able to blow it herself yet. So last night she had her first shower all by herself and she loved it! She couldn't wait to get in and I had to block her way until I had adjusted the temperature. Tonight she even ran into the shower fully clothed, luckily before the water was on :o)  She looked so grown up and even washed her tummy and legs all by herself. When the water was turned off she wasn't quite as happy though. Today her cough and mood has started to improve, so hopefully tonight she'll sleep better and she'll be brighter tomorrow.
