Cradlesong Blog: Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park

Today we went to the Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park in Calga, NSW. The park has a number of native animals both in enclosures and roaming free in the grounds and there are also walking tracks and Aboriginal sites. We arrived in time to see the koala talk and as it was a out of season school day it was just us. We then listened to the reptile talk and had a cuddle with a snake (with the exception of Nanny) before having some lunch and an explore of the grounds and other animals. We even had a friendly emu keeping us company and acting as tour guide as we took our walk. Sophie loved the animals! She has learnt to be a little bit gentle with the animals, but still oozes with enthusiasm and excitement when trying to pet them. She giggled and chuckled the day away. Nanny and Grandad had fun too!
Take a look at Sophie getting to know the animals
We had a wonderful time!
